I’m Valetta – a mother of three, a proud grandmother of four, and someone who knows firsthand what it means to face life’s challenges and keep moving forward.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I became a mom as a teenager and later found myself navigating life as a single mother after divorce. Through it all, I held on to the belief that we each have the strength and resilience to rise above our circumstances—and that belief has carried me through.
Today, I live in Houston, Texas, and serve as Vice President of Transformation for a privately owned company in the Chicago area. But my greatest passion lies in helping others discover their own potential. That’s why I wrote The Five Forces for Living Your Best Life.

This book isn’t about my achievements—it’s about the lessons I’ve learned along the way. The five forces—faith, family and friends, fitness, finance, and forgiveness—have been my guideposts. They’ve shaped me, strengthened me, and helped me stay grounded. I believe these same forces can empower you to create a life filled with purpose and fulfillment.
